Medication Dosages removed from Crying Over Spilt Milk website

There are a lot of changes currently happening on the Crying Over Spilt Milk website, so I’ve decided to start an “Updates Blog” to notify you of what is happening.  You can subscribe to the posts using the RSS Feed at the bottom of the website.  These updates are occurring due to various changes to recommendations in infant care and changes in the treatment of infant GOR and GORD.

One of the changes that I have already made, is to remove all medication dosages from the website.  Medication is no longer prescribed by many medical professionals except in very severe cases of complicated GORD and is definitely not a first-line treatment.  GRSNNZ therefore feels that it is time that we removed this information, although we will still provide information on how each medication works and how it is best given, should it be prescribed.

The dosage information will be made available on a private website for registered health professionals only in the future.  In the meantime, if you are a registered health professional and would like this information, please contact GRSNNZ for a PDF.

Families may use the Medication Dosage Checker Contact Form, if your child is on medication and you want to check they are being prescribed for safely.  You will be directed to see your medical professional, if you have concerns about your child’s health or the dose is not within the safe range.

Please remember that the information provided on Crying Over Spilt Milk is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her existing physician. Please do not change your child’s medical treatment without first consulting their medical professionals.

  1. The Medication Dosage Checker Form is no longer available. If you have concerns about your child’s condition or dosage, we suggest that you consult their health professional or seek a second professional opinion.

The website for Health Professionals may not be completed and we are not currently providing the dosage charts, but are happy to direct Health Professionals towards the appropriate prescribing information if this is required.
