My 4.5 month old has been refusing feeds altogether for nearly a week now (been refusing more often over the last 5-6 weeks). We have only been able to feed her while she is asleep. Paed prescribed losec yesterday, but I'm wanting to get out of the habit of feeding while asleep. I'm worried that if she keeps refusing feeds, at what point will she get dehydrated?
She's also bottle feed.
Hi my son is 2 and has Laryngomalacia. The surgeon decided to put him back on Omeprozole. It's 3.5mls of the liquid 2x a day. It tastes terrible so was hoping you could give me some handy tips to get him to take it. Thanks
Zane would like some tips on removing stains. See visitor posts.
My 4month old is rejecting feeds and struggling to put on weight due to reflux. So much fun ? She is going start on formula in the next few weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations on formula that is gentle on tummies or that helped with reflux? Would like to get it right first time!
Hi guys 🙂 any tips for getting purple losec stains out of everything? Super spilly baby keeps spilling partly digested granules ?
Has anyone found transitioning children from formula to milk made your little ones reflux bad? We had been doing so well for so long but since switching to milk it's flared up again - lots of wind, lots of silent reflux "audible spew and reswallow" episodes, and screaming the house down in pain at night
I've tried all the normal trick from when it was bad as an infant. Now trying to decide whether to persevere with the milk (which we know she's not allergic to as have been tested) or do I switch back to formula and try again later??
Ps little one has just turned 1 is very close to walking but not yet so she's still in that crawling position most often
Thought i would share a post i put in my support group to give light to others in the tunnel.
Seems just like it was yesterday I didn't take Heidi into public, it was too scary when she was unwell with GORD. Today I was batting off people while doing the shopping before we picked up miss 2 from daycare. Seemed everybody young and old, upmarket or from the rough burbs people who look as though smiling would crack their stoney stance wanted to enjoy her company. It didn't help that she literally hung out the side of the trolley flirting with each person within 20 metres of us. I really wished I had the time to video her doing this. Everyone remarks at what a joyfully being she is and how beautiful her smile is. And each time my heart flies remembering how miserable she was, how I worried I was if she would ever enjoy people or life at all yet there she is shining on like she's never experienced an ounce of pain. Aren't babies cool, I could almost have more ? but I havnt yet totally forgotten driving around town at 2am for some quiet ? rollercoaster rides this parenting thing is
I'd love to see any South Canterbury parents and babies come along to our next course - we teach some lovely tummy massage strokes, great for helping with digestion and wind, and there is a big focus on relaxation and bonding as well : )
Thank you for the welcome pack you sent me. It really made our day! After weeks of crying from my 19 month old. I gave her a warm bath with the eco soap with lavender & goats milk you sent. And it's the 1st time her dry skin relaxed and didn't go all red. Plus she slept well after her bath. I've tried so many different oils and non-soap soaps. But this worked well. Thank you.
