Looking for a new GP in Christchurch (South side preferrably) that has an understanding of infant reflux and most importantly is understanding and supportive. |

The GP we are under complies with the guide lines set for treatment of reflux, so if it is medication you are looking for Gaviscon is the most you will get. But i can not thank her enough for the support she gave me when I turned up for my daughter 12 week vaccinations and she could just see on my face that things weren’t good. She even sent me! off for bloods to check everything was ok with me. In short she worked with us until we had my daughters reflux and colic under control. I would go and see her every week until I was happy with the progress we had made. |

Thank you everyone for the recommendations, I will let you know how I get on. We have just been back to the specialist and now on Motilium and Losec and staying on the FODMAP diet for another month or so before reviewing again. Bubs has just turned 1 and finally after changing meds is almost sleeping well (waking 4 or so times a night instead of 10-12) I feel like a different person now getting some sleep and can think clearly enough to make better decisions and not be fobbed off by anyone that says ‘just a fussy baby’ and every new Mum suffers from a lack of sleep!!! |
