Do not alter your own child's dose of medication without first consulting their health professional and having this approved.
Calculation mistakes are easy to make and side-effects can be severe. If you increase the dose without approval, you also risk running out of the medication and not being able to obtain another prescription.
Recently we have heard of several parents who have increased the dose themselves, resulting in much distress and a lecture from us. It concerns us greatly that there are probably more that we have not heard of. If this continues we will have to remove the information from the website, and your GP will have to wait to receive an email with the information.
